The hex (Allen) wrench size is 14mm for the following drain and filler plugs:
- differential (rear axle)
- gas tank
- oil pan
- transmission*
*Use Mercon®/Dexron® III ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid) in the Mercedes-Benz Ponton manual transmission. The original specification is for ATF (type A). Type A is no longer a relevant classification. Use Mercon/Dexron III.
What is the correct torque for the fluid fill and drain plugs?
