Contains numerous references to Rochester Amateur Radio Association (RARA). According to Ed Gable (K2MP), the author used the Antique Wireless Association (AWA) Annex as a reference to do her thesis on the subject. Mr. Gable is given credit in the acknowledgement section. An interesting book, especially if RARA (www.rochesterham.org) happens to be your local amateur radio club!

Fachwörterbuch Hörfunk und Fernsehen / Dictionary of Radio and Television Terms: Deutsch-Englisch / English-German, Fifth Revised and Enlarged edition
Herbert Tillmann (Editor)
ISBN: 978-3-89578-106-3
Paperback
540 pages
May 2000

Stock Description:
In the past few years, ongoing developments in digital technology have enabled rapid progress in radio and television. The terms used in broadcasting, information technology and telecommunications have grown closer together and many new ones have now become common usage in several disciplines at once. The new edition of this time-proven dictionary is the result of intensive collaboration between several broadcasting institutions (BR, DW, IRT, NDR, SRG SSR and ZDF) under the auspices of Bayerischer Rundfunk. Just in time for the turn of the millennium, technical and editorial staff will therefore be receiving an updated collection of more than 25,000 terms from the areas of editing and programming, studio technology and production, contribution and distribution, transmission and terminal equipment as well as the fields of measurement technology and operations handling.
