Back in the 1960s, when I had my Mercedes-Benz 190Db, I had been visiting Washington D.C. Now, you may or may not believe that the car went 73 mph the whole way there, flat out, top speed. On the return trip, I ran into snow before I got to Breezewood, and the car began to overheat. So, I stopped at a gas station to see what was wrong. Well, it was nothing – just snowflakes covering the grille and preventing air-flow. A little water from the hose, and away I went. I got back onto the Pennsylvania turnpike at Breezewood in a very heavy snow storm with large flakes blowing and falling. As I accelerated toward fourth gear, I very clearly heard a voice say, "Get into the other lane!" I was alone, and had no radio, so I did just that. I turned into the other lane just in time to miss a line of stopped and piled up cars in the driving lane. That is the story, and it is true.
