AVAILABLE TO TRADE:
I have an ex-Navy Hickok model "TV-10B/U" tube tester
(serial number 223). It's clean, and the scroll is in excellent condition. Apparently
complete — the tubes are there (see photos), the power lamp comes on, but when
the Line Adjust button is pushed, the meter does not move. As the Line Adjust knob is
turned, the Type 81 lamp (fuse) glows brighter. Have not investigated further. Might
be a bad tube, or meter.

FREE:
I found a Grundig MS 50a stereo console hi-fi waiting for the trash collector, and I did not have the heart to see it go to the dump so I took it home. However, I neither need or want this unit - I just wanted to grant it a temporary stay of execution with the hope that someone might be able to give it a new home. Is there a local (New England) Grundig collector who can use this machine for restoration or parts?? I am sure it is very rare, and there cannot be many of these left in the world. It seems to be of extremely high quality materials and workmanship, but does need restoration. That being said, it is complete, and should be completely restorable by somebody handy. The unit must be picked up in New Bedford, Mass and I will help the taker load it up. Unfortunately, I cannot keep this unit for long as I am living in borrowed space - so please act fast before I have to dispose of it. Come and get it, the price is right. |
