Mercedes-Benz Ponton Tools Wanted
I need these items to complete my Ponton tool kit:
- U-shaped wheel mounting fork with openings for 17mm lugs at end *
- Spark plug socket wrench (approximate length: 208 mm / 8.2 inches)
- Spark plug wrench handle (approx. length: 200 mm / 7.9 inches)
* The wheel mounting fork also came with larger diameter holes for the Type 300SL roadster and Type 300 "Adenauer" sedan. I am looking for the wheel mounting fork with the smaller diameter holes as found on the 4 and 6 cylinder Ponton sedan, coupé and cabriolet models. Besides helping to align and install the wheel, the fork also protected the threads of the lug from damage during tire installation.
Most original Ponton era tools (with possible exceptions depending on which market the vehicles were sold in) were black, not silver plated. I am looking for the black oxided, ("pentrated") tools.
